Why do neighbors fight? Why do citizens of Greece and Turkey experience mutual dislike and distrust? Decades after the end of the Greco-Turkish War, the last armed conflict between Greece and Turkey, and almost two centuries after the Greek Revolution against the Ottoman Empire, citizens of both countries see each other as enemies. Greek award-winning writer Hercules Millas and Turkish award-winning filmmaker Nefin Dinç join forces in this insightful, and often funny, documentary about the mutual contempt between the locals of two towns, Dimitsana in the Peloponnese region of Greece and Birgi in western Turkey.
