Madina Boe
Filmed in the liberated areas of Guinea Bissau during its war of independence from Portugal, Madina Boe follows the activities of the People's Army for the Independence of Guinea Bissau/Cape Verde. It documents the combatants' political education, guerrilla and medical techniques, and physical training. It also explains the practical and philosophical nature of armed struggle in Guinea Bissau. The film contains a rare interview with Amilcar Cabral, a leading African political theorist and founder of the PAIGC independence movement.
