Jorge Fortes

Award-winning independent filmmaker Jorge Fortes is Argentinean and was born in the province of Buenos Aires in 1968. He is a direct descendant of the Cabo Verdian immigrant community in Argentina. He completed his BA in Documentary Filmmaking at the Avellaneda film Institute and in 1993 joined Argentine TV STation Arterar as a camera assistant and sound person.
